ROD STEWART - STEWART TO PLAY FOR PRINCE CHARLES FOR FREE

Rocker ROD STEWART has waived his $1.85 million (GBP1 million) performance fee for PRINCE CHARLES after agreeing to play at the British royal's 60th birthday party.
The Maggie May hitmaker, 63, is a close friend of the Prince and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, and usually charges the large sum for private shows.
But he decided to sing for free as a special birthday gift to the heir to the throne when he celebrates the landmark age at his English countryside home in Highgrove, Gloucestershire on 15 November (08) - one day before his actual birthday.
A spokesman for Prince Charles' official London residence Clarence House says, "The main musical entertainment at the party will be provided by Rod Stewart, who is an ambassador for the Prince's Trust.
"He is giving his performance as a birthday present to the Prince."
