JACKASS - STEVE-O SKIPS ARRAIGNMENT DATE
JACKASS star STEVE-O's arraignment on felony drug charges has been postponed until next month (Apr08) after the stuntman skipped his Los Angeles court date on Wednesday (26Mar08). The troubled 33-year-old - real name Stephen Glover - was charged with possession of cocaine after his 3 March (08) arrest on suspicion of vandalising his neighbours' property in L.A. Just days after the incident, Steve-O checked himself into L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he is currently receiving treatment following a reported suicide attempt. While Steve-O was not present for the Los Angeles Superior Court hearing on Wednesday, he was represented by his lawyer Barry Sands. And Judge James Banco took pity on the star's current health status and set a new arraignment date for 23 April (08). However, Steve-O's absence meant he had to forfeit his $10,000 (GBP5,000) bail. Attorney Sands says, "(He's) doing great. He's been in the hospital for two weeks. He voluntarily checked himself in. But he will be at the next court hearing."
