HOWARD STERN - STERN SIDEKICK LANGE CHECKS INTO REHAB

Shock jock HOWARD STERN's radio sidekick ARTIE LANGE has checked into rehab to be treated for drug and alcohol abuse, according to reports.
The 40-year-old comedian admitted himself into an intensive outpatient rehabilitation programme at the weekend (begs02Aug08), his spokesperson Lewis Kay has confirmed.
Lange cancelled a series of stand-up shows and appearances, including his pal Bob Saget's Comedy Central Roast on Sunday (03Aug08), to seek treatment.
A source tells the New York Post that Stern's sidekick "felt awful for not being there for Bob, but needed to make his health a priority".
Lange reportedly plans to return to Stern's Sirius radio show following treatment.

I belive I speak for everyone when I say that I wish Artie a speedy recovery in rehab.
His health is the most important thing to consider. So, he should take his time
and get well. He is a talented actor, as his many great film and TV roles prove
beyond a doubt. For example, look at his roles in Beer League and the TV show, Entourage.
Brando would be jealous of his acting. Artie is a future Oscar winner. Till then,
get well, funny man. Artie Rules!
