COLIN FARRELL - STEAMING FARRELL LETS IT ALL OUT

Hollywood star COLIN FARRELL has taken up an unusual hobby to combat the damage caused by his drink and drug past - detoxing in steam baths "with strange Russian men". The Phone Booth actor discovered the 10th Street Russian + Turkish Baths - a favourite haunt of late stars Frank Sinatra and John Belushi - on New York's Lower East Side after leaving rehab in 2006, and has been a regular visitor ever since. Farrell insists the therapeutic benefits of "sweating in silence" have given him strength in his battle to keep his demons at bay. He says, "There's something very basic about rubbing honey on your skin and going steaming with a bunch of strange Russian men. There's something ancient about it: in a world of easy pleasure, sitting around a couple of hot rocks in an open oven and sweating in silence is f**king beautiful. "And if you stay in there long enough, you begin to feel everything fade away."
