STARS RAISE MONEY FOR OBAMA

A galaxy of stars including GEORGE CLOONEY, STEVEN SPIELBERG and EDDIE MURPHY helped raise $1.3 million (GBP666,700) at a fundraiser for Democrat US Presidential hopeful BARACK OBAMA last night (20FEB07). The event at a hotel in Beverly Hills, California was organised by Spielberg and his Dreamworks studio co-founders JEFFREY KATZENBERG and DAVID GEFFEN. Other celebrities in attendance included singer/songwriter JACKSON BROWNE. Obama told the audience, "Don't sell yourselves short; you are the storytellers of our age."
