STAR'S ELECTRONIC STALKER JAILED
A computer expert has been jailed for two years after electronically stalking CHESTER BENNINGTON, the lead singer of rock group LINKIN PARK.
Devon Townsend obtained pictures of Chester's family, including his wife Talinda, as well as the star's personal emails and voicemails and legal documents such as a copy of his recording contract.
She admitted using a computer at her workplace, a US national security laboratory in New Mexico, to keep tabs on the singer.
Ms Townsend also confessed to travelling to Arizona to meet the star after finding out about his travel itinerary and making threatening phone calls to Chester's wife.
Court documents detailed that her home was filled with LINKIN PARK memorabilia, including the band members' autographs and bootlegged music, reports the Associated Press.
Ms Townsend is expected to receive mental health treatment while in prison.
Last night the band played a secret show at the Apple store in New York's Soho district.
The six-song set was recorded and is expected to be released via the iTunes Music Store in March.
Upon taking to the stage, the group treated fans to a number of their hits including WAKE, GIVEN UP and MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT.
LINKIN PARK have sold approximately 50 million albums since their formation in 1996.
They have also won two Grammy Awards.
