SCARLETT JOHANSSON - STARS' CORSETS MAKE THOUSANDS FOR CHARITY

Corsets designed by stars including SCARLETT JOHANSSON, BEYONCE KNOWLES and DITA VON TEESE were auctioned to benefit charity Clothes Off Our Backs on Thursday (25Oct07) night. Von Teese's corset sold for $20,000 (GBP10,000), topping the $18,000 (GBP9,000) a garment created by Charlize Theron made at the annual Frederick's Of Hollywood sale last year (06). Elsewhere, Knowles' design fetched $8,000 (GBP4,000) and Johansson's dress made $11,000 (GBP5,500). The money raised will benefit children's charities.
