MICHAEL STIPE - STARS CONTRIBUTE PHOTOS TO REED EXHIBITION

MICHAEL STIPE, JOHN MAYER, PERRY FARRELL and MICK FLEETWOOD are among the rockers whose photographs feature in a new exhibition co-curated by LOU REED. Visions Of Rock, which is being held at New York's 401 Projects Gallery, also includes photos taken by Reed, Jakob Dylan, Graham Nash, Lenny Kravitz and Melissa Auf Der Maur. Reed's pictures document his beloved New York. He says, "I've always been interested in photography. What was I trying to accomplish with the New York photos? I wanted to record the way New York looks right now, before it changes any more." The exhibition is being curated by Reed and photographer Mark Seliger, and runs until 4 November (07).
