STAR WARS THE CLONE WARS HAS THE FORCE

As a movie, Star Wars The Clone Wars may have been pretty much a bust, but as a TV series it drew the biggest audience in the history of Turner's Cartoon Network when the first two episodes premiered Friday night. The 3.96 million viewers who tuned in to the two half-hours eclipsed the record of 2.9 million viewers who tuned in to the series premiere of Ben 10 Alien Force last April. In a statement, Stuart Snyder, president and COO of Turner Broadcasting's Animation, Young Adults and Kids Media group, said, "This is a great start for our new night of fantasy-action-adventure programming. ... We are looking forward to building on this foundation and are thrilled with this turnout and record numbers for Cartoon Network."
