SYLVESTER STALLONE - STALLONE'S 'ROCKY' PAST

Hollywood tough guy SYLVESTER STALLONE was saved from a life of crime when he turned to acting at the age of 19.
The ROCKY star, who was once described by his school pals as 'the student most likely to die in the electric chair', attended a boarding school in Pennsylvania for young delinquents when he was 13, where he would often go looking for fights.
He recalls, "I was 13 when I was sent there. I never saw my family - ever. This was a 12-month-a-year school. But I don't blame my parents for sending me; I was a bad seed."
It was only when Stallone was persuaded to perform in a theatre production of DEATH OF A SALESMAN that he turned his attentions to an acting career.
The 60-year-old says, "I thought, 'This is it. I've finally done something right. I'm going for it.'"
