LINDSAY LOHAN - SPORTY LOHAN'S ALCOHOL RECOVERY PLAN

Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan has reportedly been cycling and taking part in whitewater rafting as she tries to recover from her drinking problems.

US magazine reports the Mean Girls actress has taken field trips in the Rocky Mountains as part of her rehabilitation programme at the Cirque Lodge centre, in the US.

Over the last week, the 21-year-old singer is also said to have taken bike rides around the state of Utah and boating trips down the Provo river, in the western parts of the country.

Lohan recently enrolled herself onto a 30-day programme at the rehabilitation centre after two previous courses failed to solve her problems with the bottle.

The party-loving star had previously signed up to two substance abuse programmes at different clinics in Los Angeles. But her parents, who recently finalised their divorce, urged the actress to leave the LA party scene to improve her chances of kicking her drinking habit.

Lohan was arrested on suspicion of drink driving in July by police in California, who revealed that they had allegedly found her to be in possession of a small amount of cocaine. She was pursuing a car, which her personal assistant Tracie Rice was travelling in, when she was apprehended by the police.

The Herbie Fully Loaded star is now being sued by Rice for assault and negligence.

Last month, the star had handed herself over to Beverly Hills police to face charges of drink driving and leaving the scene of an accident in relation to a car crash on May 26th, when she allegedly lost control of her Mercedes-Benz sports car and drove into a hedge.
