KEVIN FEDERLINE - SPOKESMAN QUIT TEAM FEDERLINE OVER BRITNEY ATTACKS

PR guru MICHAEL SANDS quit as the spokesman for KEVIN FEDERLINE's lawyer this week (ends08Feb08) - because he's sick of attacking BRITNEY SPEARS. Sands fears attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan has gone too far in his custody battle with Spears - and he felt he could no longer be part of team Federline. He explains, "This is overkill, it made my stomach turn. Every time we had to go into court, yes we have to protect the kids. But every mother, healthy or unhealthy should see their kids... You can't blame someone for mental illness. "Mark Vincent Kaplan needs to lay off. Everyone has to lay off before Britney dies accidentally." Sands urges Los Angeles authorities to put "bipolar Britney" in hospital "for a year" and let her see her kids. Thanks to Kaplan's efforts, Spears has been stripped of her custody and visitation rights to her kids by Federline. And he thinks it's time for Spears' ex to "step up to the plate" and stop hiding behind his attorney. Michael Sands, who severed ties with Mark Vincent Kaplan earlier this week (ends08Feb08), admits he's disturbed about Federline's reluctance to speak publicly about his ex-wife's health issues. Sands believes Federline is the best parent to govern the former couple's young sons, but the public relations expert would like to see Britney's ex speak out. He tells America's Life + Style magazine, "Kevin Federline needs to get on TV and say, 'I'm learning about Britney's bipolar disorder.' "He needs to step up to the plate and not hide behind the shield of his lawyer and be a man. He could become a hero instead of hiding... He's got to step up and help Britney."

Hi, This is the best news I read since this whole case started. I have written to
Kevin and his despicable lawyer about all the unsurrmontable pressure they are putting
on Brittany about not being allowed to see her children. I have told them that if
she is not allowed to see her children or have any visitation rights, she will kill
herself. I realized a long time ago that she was suffering from bi-polar, depresssion
and poosibly other cormorbity diagnosis. I worked in a methadone maintenance treatment
program (in the Bronx) for many, many years and have dealt with alot of patients who
are dual-diagnosis and have many severe psychiatric problems. I also have worked
with ACS (that is what they call children's services in the Bronx) and have had many
cases where the children were not taken away from their mother. Some cases take alot
of time. and most the workers I dealt with were seasoned, and knew how to deal with
our patients. You should be commened for your integrity for quitting being Kevin's
lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan spokesman. You know how they went after Brittany with
a vengence, and I think your decision was based on all the things that were going
on. I agree that Kevin should talk to someone about him caring about Brittany at
all. It appears that his lawyer has no children, or has an ax to grind about these type
of cases. I also don't think that Brittany should not pay for any of Kevin's legal
bills, because I feel his lawyer is in it for the money also. I wish you the best,
and I think your decision was a good and wise on. It is hard to watch people try to
destroy others.
AMEN! Finally. I agree that Britney needs help, however, to strip her from ANY
visitation of her two babies is truly unforgivable. She should at least be able
to see them supervised. I have an 8 month old child and if anyone barred me from
seeing her, I would not be able to survive. That's not being dramatic, that's being
honest. My child is my soul and the best part of me. To not be able to see her
nor inter-act with her would destroy me ... and I am emotionally/mentally healthy.
I can only imagine what the stress of being without her children would do on someone suffering
from a disorder. It's cruel. Shame on Kevin, truly. He is clearly more stable
(more manipulative, exploitive and has further gained at someone else's expense)
but, he really should "man-up" and a GOOD FATHER which would be to try to help his children
reunite with their mother. Not only is this devastating for Britney, an adult, but,
her children are suffering the most. To not have their mother is not something that
they can understand ... other than it is like a death for them, For all intent and
purpose, their mother has died. And why? Because their father wants to hoard the
children and frankly, punish Britney. But his short-sightedness has clouded his
own sight ... that he is being unnecessarily harsh to his sons. They do not need
nannies, or Shar Jackson or whomever else Kevin is playing house with ... they need
their mother. She should have supervised, CONSISTENT contact with Britney while
she is on the road to recovery. This will be the single most beneficial thing for
Britney's recovery and the mental health and well being of her babies.
