SPIDER MAN 3 - SPIDER-MAN 3 TANGLES UP U.S. BOX-OFFICE COMPETITORS
SPIDER-MAN 3 remains the number one movie at the American box-office in its second week on release, despite a 60 per cent fall in takings.
The superhero movie, which last weekend (04-06May07) took $148 million (GBP74million) to become the biggest U.S. release ever, has this weekend (11-13May07) raked in $60 million (GBP30 million).
Despite the drop in takings, Spider-Man 3 walked all over its box-office competitors - 28 Weeks Later is at number two with a comparatively tiny $10 million (GBP5 million) in earnings.
At number three is Georgia Rule, which despite the star power of Lindsay Lohan, Felicity Huffman and Jane Fonda only managed $5.9 million (GBP2.95 million).
Disturbia dropped two places to number four with $4.8 (GBP2.4 million), while Delta Farce is at number five with $3.5 million (GBP1.75 million).
