SPEARS PUT UNDER FATHER'S PERMANENT CONSERVATORSHIP

BRITNEY SPEARS is to remain under her father's conservatorship on a permanent basis, a Los Angeles judge has ruled.
Jamie Spears was put in charge of the singer's estate and personal affairs in February (08) following her public meltdown.
The conservatorship was originally due to end on 31 December (08) - but Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz ruled on Tuesday (28Oct08) that Jamie will stay on indefinitely as co-conservator, with attorney Andrew Wallet.
The decision comes after Spears' lawyers put forward the motion.
Her court-appointed attorney Samuel Ingham told the judge: "I've met several times with (Britney) and she requested that I not object to the permanent conservatorship."
Goetz concluded that the permanent conservatorship was "necessary and appropriate for the complexity of financial and business entities and her being susceptible to undue influence".
It is claimed that Spears hopes the move will help her to regain custody of her two children with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
