LANCE BASS - SPEARS FAILS TO RETURN BASS' CALLS

Singer LANCE BASS has tried to get in touch with BRITNEY SPEARS to lend her moral support during her child custody battle - but the pop superstar hasn't returned his calls. Bass was concerned about his old friend and neighbour, who used to date his 'N Sync bandmate Justin Timberlake, he decided to contact her. He tells American magazine GQ, "I tried. She's my neighbour in Beverly Hills. She lives next door. I tried to get in touch with her - I wanted to be that friend to help her. "I don't think she's having any of her old friends anymore."
