SNOW PATROL - SNOW PATROL SEND PROCEEDS TO SAVE THE CHILDREN

Northern Irish rockers SNOW PATROL will donate proceeds from their next single to help educate children in war-torn countries. The band are giving 10 percent of royalties from sales of OPEN YOUR EYES to the Save the Children's rewrite the future campaign. Frontman GARY LIGHTBODY says, "We've been supporting this campaign since it launched last year. "Over 40 million children living with the effects of conflict can't go to school. Yet education is the very thing that could keep them safe, give them and their countries hope, and transform their lives. "The donation from this single will help but it is also about putting pressure on governments to open their eyes and their pockets and provide enough funding to make sure all children get a chance to go to school."
