SNOOP'S CLOSE ESCAPE FROM FIRES
Rap superstar SNOOP DOGG's family home was 10 to 15 minutes from being destroyed by the wildfires that tore through California over the weekend (15-16Nov08).
The Drop it Like it's Hot hitmaker's family and staff fled the infernos as they closed in on his Diamond Bar neighbourhood on Sunday (16Nov08).
Snoop, who was not at home at the time, admits he came close to being made homeless: "My family had to evacuate. It was real close. It was perhaps 10, 15 minutes away."
More than 150 houses were destroyed in the fires, including the $11 million (GBP7.3 million) Montecito home of Back to the Future star Christopher Lloyd.
In total, over 1,000 properties were damaged in the fires.
