Former Hollywood hellraiser CHRISTIAN SLATER is taking the blame for his badboy reputation, conceding "good boys don't get arrested". The 37-year-old actor spent 59 days in prison in 1997 for punching then-girlfriend MICHELLE JONAS at a Los Angeles party, and he later checked into rehab for alcohol and drug abuse. But despite owning up to his troubled past, Slater is sure his brushes with the law would never have happened if his screen roles hadn't been so controversial too. He says, "I have contributed to that image in certain respects. Good boys don't get in trouble. They don't get arrested. They don't go through these things. "(But) a lot of it comes from trying to live up to a projected image as well. "I played some bad boys in movies - HEATHERS, in particular - and I felt I had to live up to that."
