Rockers SLASH and ALICE COOPER are to be honoured at the fourth annual MusiCares gala in May (08). Former Guns N' Roses star Slash will receive the MusiCares From The Heart Award, while Cooper will be honoured with the Stevie Ray Vaughan Award. The prizes will be handed out at the Music Box Theatre in Hollywood on 9 May. The $100 (GBP50)-a-ticket event will feature performances from Slash, Cooper, Blind Melon and Dave Navarro's supergroup Camp Freddy.
