THE STREETS - SKINNER ALMOST ARRESTED IN IBIZA

THE STREETS star MIKE SKINNER was almost arrested by police in Ibiza after his summer concert on the island was cancelled at the last minute. The singer was scheduled to play at the Manumission's Bar M on Monday (13Aug07), but authorities ordered organisers to cancel the event minutes before Skinner was due to take to the stage - or risk arrest. Skinner explains, "I was really looking forward to our big Ibiza DJ mega-party. Went to soundcheck, everything sounded good, ...went back for a shower and then heard that the police had shut down the stage. "They put tape around the whole thing and said: 'If anyone goes on they get arrested.' "Neither me or my MC fancied a night in a Spanish jail so we ended up hanging around Cafe Mumbo while (DJ) Roger Sanchez played." Skinner also revealed he was almost ejected from his hotel after causing a cooker to explode.
