JESSICA SIMPSON - SIMPSON STEPS UP FOR RAPE SUPPORT CHARITY

Singer JESSICA SIMPSON will perform her new album DO YOU KNOW at a rape support charity concert in Las Vegas on Thursday (18Sep08).
The star chose to appear at the Nina's Night Out event because she knows women who have been raped.
She also claims its her ambition to become a role model for other women - and has pledged to sing from her heart.
Simpson tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal, "I think this will be a more passionate performance than most. It's important to make a stand for women's rights. If I can get up there and be an inspiration to women, I am blessed to have that opportunity.
"The great thing about Nina's Night Out is it's a message of prevention. I think it's important as a woman to lend a hand to other women and just try to encourage people that everything's going to be OK."
