ASHLEE SIMPSON - SIMPSON RELATES TO CHICAGO ROLE

Pop star ASHLEE SIMPSON made her West End debut in the London production of CHICAGO last night (25SEP06), and insists her fame-hungry character is just like her. The singer plays murderous ROXIE HART in the show and reveals she has lots in common with the ambitious villainess. She says, "The play is absolutely all about celebrity and wanting to be famous and having your name in the papers and your picture in the papers. "In that sense, it's been kind of cool because I've really got to connect to that, because I've seen that world and been in that world."
