SIMPSON EMULATES BARDOT FOR PERFUME AD

JESSICA SIMPSON took inspiration for her new perfume advertisement from style icon BRIGITTE BARDOT because she wanted to emulate her "classic beauty".
The singer is launching her latest fragrance, Fancy, and insisted on keeping herself covered up for the promotional campaign so the focus remains on the new scent.
She tells Entertainment Tonight, "I never wanted it to be too risque or anything like that.
"I keep myself covered up for the most part because honestly it is about fragrance - that's what I want people to see when they see the ad. I wanted to go for a Brigitte Bardot type of look and she is one of my favourite all time classic beauties."
But Simpson has laughed off any talk of launching a 'his and hers' range with her American footballer boyfriend Tony Romo - although she admits she likes to get his opinion when she's making her perfumes.
She says, "That's so not Tony. He's a football player. It's about showering, getting out of the locker room and coming home. But I do have him smell certain things and thankfully he always thinks I smell good. I hope!"
