SIGUR ROS - SIGUR ROS TO TAKE OVER YOUTUBE

Icelandic rockers SIGUR ROS are set to take over the homepage of video broadcast website YouTube on Friday (07Mar08) with a screening of their new documentary. The film, entitled Heima, was shot in 2007 as the band performed a series of free and unannounced shows in various venues throughout their native Iceland. The gigs took place in unusual places including community halls, coffee shops, caves and fish factories. The quartet, who are the first musicians to have a full-length DVD played on YouTube.com, will also share a video greeting for fans they filmed while recording their new album in Reykjavik, Iceland.
