STONE ROSES - SHOW GOES ON FOR WOUNDED BROWN

Former STONE ROSES frontman IAN BROWN shook off injury and took to the stage at Britain's Isle of Wight music festival on Saturday (14Jun08) - just a day after he was attacked at another gig.
The rocker was playing a concert in Sheffield, England, on Friday night (13Jun08) when he was pulled from the stage and assaulted by two members of the audience.
Brown was struck with a glass bottle just above his eye and was immediately taken to hospital for treatment.
A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police Department tells British newspaper The People, "Police were called to the scene after the singer was hit with a bottle. Two men have been detained on suspicion of assault."
And Brown proved that he wasn't going to let an eye wound stand in the way of his headline performance on the Isle of Wight, taking to the stage in spite of his injuries.
A spokesman for the star insists he has made a quick recovery, "Ian is doing very well. He had a number of stitches but he's fine now."
