BIG BROTHER - SHILPA TO RUN LONDON MARATHON

Celebrity Big Brother winner Shilpa Shetty intends to run next month's London Marathon to raise money for charity.

The Bollywood beauty will run the 26.2 mile-course through the capital's streets with Pimlico Plumbers on April 22nd for Water Aid, a charity that provides clean water for poor villages in India's countryside.

Shetty will be hoping that she fares better than her fellow BB contestant Jade Goody, who was at the centre of the race row that dominated headlines earlier this year.

Goody infamously managed a third of the course last year before collapsing and being taken to hospital. She later admitted: "I don't really understand miles."

But Shetty, 31, told the Daily Mirror: "I'm excited but also nervous. I keep fit with dancing and working out but this is a big test.

"The Pimlico girls have been helping me with training. They'll want me to fix drains next!"
