SHILPA SHETTY - SHETTY PLEASED WITH BIG BROTHER RACISM DECISION

LATEST: Bollywood star SHILPA SHETTY has praised the British bosses of reality TV show BIG BROTHER after they removed a contestant who made a racist comment. Student Emily Parr, 19, was ejected from the London compound early this morning (07Jun07) after she called fellow contestant Charley Uchea a "n**ger". Following the comments, TV network Channel 4 and production company Endemol took the decision to remove Parr from the house. Shetty was caught up in controversy earlier this year (07) on Celebrity Big Brother, when she was the target of alleged racist bullying by housemates Jade Goody, Danielle Lloyd and Jo O'Meara. Shetty says, "I'm glad that Channel 4 has taken action. Well I'm really happy and I compliment them on the action they have taken. "Intolerance of any form has to be debunked. For a change (Channel 4) has done some good."
