BUZZCOCKS frontman PETE SHELLEY is constantly stunned when the rock stars of today tell him how important his punk upstarts were. The Orgasm Addict singer admits the likes of Radiohead's Thom Yorke and various members of R.E.M. have revealed they would never have formed a group if it wasn't for the Buzzcocks. He explains, "I'm always struck when they come up to me and say, `If it wasn't for you...' The list is quite long. I've had it from Offspring. Thom Yorke said that without the Buzzcocks, there'd be no Radiohead. "(R.E.M. star) Peter Buck, very tired and emotional in a bar late at night, said that listening to the Buzzcocks inspired him to form a group."
