CHARLIE SHEEN - SHEEN'S LAWYER: `DENISE DESPERATE'

LATEST: CHARLIE SHEEN's attorney has hit back at new claims the actor's home is unsafe for his kids, claiming ex-wife DENISE RICHARDS is piling on the drama to boost her reality TV show.
Richards and her lawyer Neal Hersh called an emergency hearing in a Los Angeles court on Thursday (17Jul08), attempting to block her two daughters from visiting their father because there are "serious issues" in the actor's home that could be damaging to them.
The former couple will resolve the issue in court next week (21Jul08).
Speaking outside the court Hersh said, "These are serious issues regarding the children."
But Sheen's lawyer, Marty Singer, insists there's nothing to Richards' mysterious claims: "It is very unfortunate that Denise Richards and her attorney are desperately trying to deprive Charlie his visitation of his children, obviously at the same time trying to create a media circus to help her reality show."
Richards' reality show, It's Complicated, has become a hit on America's E! cable network.
