Movie star TONY SHALHOUB is hoping to improve American-Arab relations by making a new film about his "people". The award-winning Arab American star of TV hit MONK is producing a new film, AMERICAN EAST, which focuses on Los Angeles-based Arabs coming to terms with the 9/11 terrorist attacks and the emotions they encountered from angry and upset Americans. Shalhoub insists the project comes at a perfect time: "If there was ever a time for it to be done... it's now. It's now or never as far as I'm concerned."
