KYRA SEDGWICK - SEDGWICK'S CLOSE CONNECTION WITH CHARACTER FORCES FAMILY DIVIDE

Actress KYRA SEDGWICK is so obsessed with her TV role on U.S. series CLOSER she's inclined to leave her family for months on end.
The star, who's currently filming the fourth season of the hit U.S. crime series, admits her demanding six-month shooting schedule leaves her feeling guilty about relaxing her responsibilities as a mother and wife to actor Kevin Bacon.
She admits her obsession with her character Brenda Leigh Johnson has a tendency to "take over" her life.
She says, "I feel like I've literally given away parts of my heart and soul to her.
"I make deep sacrifices to play her, but she's dear to me and I adore her and she does take over when I'm at work."
Sedgwick's hard work has paid off - she has won a Golden Globe and two Satellite Awards for her Closer character.
She and Bacon will celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary in September (08). The couple have two children.
