RIDLEY SCOTT - SCOTT DEMANDS ACTOR FEEDBACK

Director RIDLEY SCOTT doesn't always like playing boss and often encourages actors to challenge him on movie sets.
The British filmmaker - who has worked with Russell Crowe and Leonardo DiCaprio - admits some cast members need constant encouragement to share their ideas with him.
He says, "What I've found is you can't let anything go by - you have to speak. I love to encourage actors to come forward with suggestions so it's not me saying, 'This is what it is and that's what you're going to do!' Everything's an evolution.
"So they're encouraged - well, not Russell and Leo, they're not going to be shy in coming forward, believe me! - but I mean, if I've got someone coming in new, like Mark Strong, I hadn't worked with him before and I really enjoyed that experience, so I liked to include him in the process.
