Rapper JUELZ SANTANA has hit out at his former DIPSET group leader CAM'RON after his contract was sold to Def Jam Records for $2 million (GBP1.1 million) last month (Aug08).
The There It Go (The Whistle Song) hitmaker was released from his contract with Cam'ron's Diplomat Records after signing a joint deal with Def Jam in 2004.
Cam'ron aired out his feud on New York's Hot 97 radio at the time, saying: "I sold Juelz's contract to Def Jam for $2 million."
And the rapper's remarks have sparked a bitter war of words between the pair.
Santana says: "I was upset about the part of me being 'sold for $2 million'. At times like this, nobody is trying to 'sell' me. I could have come out and said, 'Oh, yeah, Cam got bought out'. But I didn't go that route. The fans definitely missed out on a lot of Juelz due to my contract."
But the star insists he has no regrets about his Diplomat Records past, and is grateful to Cam'ron despite the ongoing feud.
He adds: "He gave me the biggest chance I needed."
