BLUE - RYAN GUILTY OF ASSAULT

LATEST: Former BLUE singer LEE RYAN has been fined $1,000 (GBP500) after he was convicted of assaulting a taxi driver.
The British pop star, 25, was accused of attacking driver Naeem Ibrahim during an argument following a minor traffic accident in Surrey, south east England on New Year's Eve (31Dec08).
He denied the allegations but was found guilty on Tuesday (24Jun08) during a trial at Guildford Magistrates' Court in Surrey.
District Judge Bob Booker fined Ryan $1,000 and ordered him to pay $600 (GBP300) in compensation to Ibrahim, as well as cover his legal costs of $900 (GBP450).
He has also been told to pay a $30 (GBP15) surcharge to help other victims of crime.
