GENESIS - RUTHERFORD TAKES UP POLO

GENESIS bassist MIKE RUTHERFORD took up polo during the band's eight year break - and is still paying the price recovering from a string of injuries. The guitarist starting playing the equestrian sport when the Land Of Confusion group split in 1999. During his regular matches, Rutherford even played against British royal Prince Charles, confessing, "He's a bit better than me." But the horsey hobby has taken a toll on the musician physically, and he's glad his band have reunited and kept him away from the saddle recently: "Look at (my teeth). All false... I've lost a lot of teeth playing polo. Broke a leg, too."
