BRETT RATNER - RUSH HOUR TOPS U.K BOX OFFICE
BRETT RATNER's new movie RUSH HOUR 3 has raced to the top the U.K and Ireland box office.
The action adventure, which stars Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, earned GBP2.73 million ($5.46 million) in its opening weekend, knocking The Simpsons Movie into second place.
Transformers dropped to number three, while Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix fell one place to four.
Evan Almighty - the comedy sequel to the 2003 film Bruce Almighty - took GBP68,000 ($1.36 million) to round out the top five.
New entries Surf's Up and Licence to Wed entered the chart at six and seven while Bollywood effort Chak De India debuted at number 10, nudging Bruce Willis' Die Hard 4.0 into 11th place.
