RICK RUBIN - RUBIN TO LAUNCH POTTS IN U.S.

Music mogul RICK RUBIN is set to work with British talent show winner PAUL POTTS - in an effort to launch his singing career in the U.S. Opera star Potts was crowned the winner of Britain's Got Talent earlier this year (07) and has since enjoyed considerable success in the U.K. with his debut album One Chance entering the charts at number one. And now Rubin, who is best known for his work with the Beastie Boys, Public Enemy and Slayer, is keen to show the Americans what they are missing out on. He says, "I can't look at his performance without crying. His voice is so beautiful. It totally blew my mind. "In England, Paul Potts is already gigantic, but we are going to launch him in America. "It's the element of surprise that makes you interested in Paul - he looks so bland and then he sings so well."
