MICKEY ROURKE - ROURKE: 'I'M REALLY LAZY'

Hollywood star MICKEY ROURKE avoids reading other people's parts when learning his lines from movie scripts, because he is "really lazy". The 49-year-old actor, soon to be seen alongside EWAN MCGREGOR in STORMBREAKER, believes his method keeps his performances spontaneous. He says, "What's the point of reading everyone else's? If I'm talking to you now, I have no idea what you're going to say, so why anticipate it in a script? It's what helps keep my performances more organic, I think. "Plus I'm really lazy, Stormbreaker was just a fun thing for me to do, and playing the baddie DARRIUS (SAYLE) wasn't exactly something I needed to do research on."
