STATUS QUO guitarist FRANCIS ROSSI admits he was intoxicated with drugs when he recorded the Band Aid single in 1984. The CAROLINE band joined DURAN DURAN, GEORGE MICHAEL, BANANARAMA, SPANDAU BALLET, U2 and SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY on the SIR BOB GELDOF-organised charity single DO THEY KNOW IT'S CHRISTMAS? Rossi claims he and bandmate RICK PARFITT were not the only musicians in the studio under the influence at the time. He tells British magazine Q, "Everyone kept saying, 'Where are the two doctors?' "I'm not saying everybody there was doing drugs, but some people were. Whoever wanted to. We were determined to have a good day."

People who brag about doing drugs never grow up.
