STATUS QUO - ROSSI TOO NERVOUS FOR FILM DEBUT
STATUS QUO rocker FRANCIS ROSSI is hoping his first ever film role falls through, because he fears he'll be too nervous to act.
The singer and bandmember Rick Parfitt have landed leading roles in Care Factor Zero, a comedy film following the rock veterans' getaway from an organised crime gang.
But Rossi's enthusiasm for the big screen venture is waning.
He says, "It's happening next January unless it falls through - which will be great for me, because I'm cacking myself and I don't want to do it.
"By the time we do it, I'll be OK. If it was another band, I'd be thinking, 'What a bunch of twats for doing that', but I'm 58, and no one is going to ask me in 10 years if I want to do a movie. But it's likely to be as hammy (not good) as hell, and I'll probably want to disown it as soon as it's done."
