MARK RONSON - RONSON LAUNCHING 'THE NEXT KANYE WEST'
Top music producer MARK RONSON is revisiting his hip-hop roots - by producing the album of a little-known U.S. rapper he believes will be the next KANYE WEST.
The celebrated DJ originally shot to fame with his first hip-hop LP Here Comes The Fuzz, but his career was catapulted to new heights after the release of his rock-influenced disc Version, which won three Grammys in February (08).
Now Ronson is set to return to the rap scene by mentoring Washington rhymer Wale, 23, who he has signed to his label Allido.
Ronson, 32, says, "He's incredibly intelligent. I feel like Wale is kind of picking up from Kanye's generation to a whole new generation. He has all the elements to make one of those great classic hip-hop debut records."
