ROLLING STONES - ROLLING STONES CANCEL SECOND GIG

LATEST: Veteran rockers THE ROLLING STONES have cancelled a second concert in Spain because SIR MICK JAGGER is still suffering from laryngitis. The HONKY TONK WOMEN singer, 63, developed the illness over the weekend (12-13AUG06), leading the band to cancel last night's (14AUG06) gig in Valladolid's Zorilla soccer stadium. Jagger hoped to recover in time for the El Ejido, southern Spain, date of their A Bigger Bang world tour on Wednesday night (16AUG06), but he is still too ill to perform. The band are optimistic Jagger will be well enough for their Twickenham Stadium gig in their hometown of London on Sunday (20AUG06). The singer's illness is the second health problem to hit the Stones' current A Bigger Bang world tour - in April (06) guitarist KEITH RICHARDS underwent emergency head surgery after falling from a small tree while holidaying in Fiji.
