Albums by rockers THE ROLLING STONES and PAUL SIMON have been hailed as historic works of art after being chosen for preservation by the US Library Of Congress. The Rolling Stones' classic single SATISFACTION and Simon's GRACELAND will be preserved in the National Recordings Registry for future generations to enjoy. Other recordings chosen this year include country star CARL PERKINS' BLUE SUEDE SHOES, THE RONETTES' BE MY BABY, and soul legend SAM COOKE's A CHANGE IS GONNA COME. To qualify for entry, works must be at least 10 years old and be "culturally, historically or aesthetically significant". The registry, created in 2000 by the US Congress, has 25 new entries each year, and holds a total of 225 sound recordings to date.
