NEIGHBOURS - ROGUE TRADER RETURNS TO NEIGHBOURS FOR CELEBRITY EPISODE
ROGUE TRADERS frontwoman NATALIE BASSINGTHWAIGHTE has taken time out of the band to make a brief return to her old job in Australian soap opera NEIGHBOURS.
Bassingthwaighte left her role as soap bitch ISABELLE 'IZZY' HOYLAND early last year (06) to focus on the VOODOO CHILD hitmakers.
However, when Neighbours producers asked her to return for two weeks as part of a juicy storyline involving her character's ex-fiance, Bassingthwaighte obliged.
The special episode takes the action from the fictional Erinsborough to London and includes celebrity cameos from former SPICE GIRL EMMA BUNTON, chat show host MICHAEL PARKINSON, eighties singer SINITTA and gay comedian JULIAN CLARY.
Bassingthwaighte enthuses, "I thought, 'Am I going to remember how to play Izzy..?' But it felt quite easy. And I had two of the best actors to work with opposite me. It was a blast.
"Emma Bunton was sweet as pie and she was tiny. Julian was very quiet."
