Pop star ROBBIE WILLIAMS is set to turn his hand at being a wedding singer to perform at golfer COLIN MONTGOMERIE's upcoming wedding.

The former TAKE THAT member met Montgomerie three years ago at a celebrity golf tournament, reports the Mirror.

The newspaper added that Robbie, whose hits include the romantic tune ANGELS, will perform his pal's wedding to Gaynor Knowles on the banks of Loch Lomond later this month.

However, Colin is remaining tight lipped about the other aspects of his upcoming nuptials, saying: "I can't say anything - I am not allowed to say anything. But this will be an event. This will be an extraordinary event."

It is thought that the celebration will be a star studded affair with the guest list including CHRIS EVANS, HUGH GRANT and Prince Andrew.

This follows news that Robbie wants to reinvent himself as a celebrity chef.

The Sun reports that the RUDEBOX singer has been improving his culinary skills and taking private lessons.

A source told the publication: "He has an urge to host his own cookery show and bring out a book with it."

"The problem is, Robbie isn't exactly the healthiest eater on the planet. Who needs lessons in how to cook burgers and fries? That's about all he's interested in."

Last month it was reported that Robbie and his friend, actor MAX BEESLEY, were set to star in a celebrity version of GORDON RAMSEY'S KITCHEN NIGHTMARES.
