NICOLE RICHIE - RICHIE'S DRINK DRIVING CASE UNDER REVIEW

LATEST: The California Highway Patrol (CHP) handed over NICOLE RICHIE's DUI case to the Los Angeles District Attorney's office Wednesday (31JAN07). The 25-year-old was charged with driving under the influence (DUI) on 11 December (06), after being arrested for driving the wrong way on a Los Angeles freeway. CHP officials wouldn't publicly comment on the findings of their investigation or their recommendations to prosecutors. At the time of her arrest, Richie admitted to police she had taken the prescription painkiller Vicodin and smoked marijuana. A tentative hearing has been scheduled for 7 February (07), should charges be filed against the star. Officials from the District Attorney's office confirmed to E! News they had received the report and that it is under review.
