DANITY KANE star DAWN RICHARD has confirmed bandmates AUBREY O'DAY and D. WOODS are no longer members of the pop group rap mogul DIDDY created on TV after the pair's firing recently featured on MAKING THE BAND.
Stunned fans thought the showdown between the two singers and Diddy, aired on MTV in the U.S. on Tuesday night (14Oct08), was just a publicity stunt for the show - but Richard insists Danity Kane is now a trio.
She tells Usmagazine.com, "Puff (Diddy) did not like (O'Day's) image... (or) where her image was going for the group."
Richard, who admits she's still shocked by the decision to axe her bandmates, suggests O'Day's decision to pose scantily clad on the cover of urban magazine Complex helped seal her fate: "We had just did a signing with Dollhouse Teen, which is for 13, 14-year-old young girls. We can't do that one day and then the next day do an obnoxious cover.
"He (Diddy) wants the fans, and he says he can't do that if we can continue to go in the direction that we were going.
"Puff told me specifically that Aubrey is no longer in Danity Kane and Danity Kane will move forward without her."
Meanwhile, confirming O'Day's departure, Diddy says, "I just want to work with the young lady that I signed, not the person that fame has made her," adding Woods got "caught up in the wrath" of O'Day.

Aubrey being fired wasn't a surprise for me or a lot of people for that manners, She says she's not a hoe but acts like one. You can't say you're not something but your actions say otherwise,the fame really did go to her head. The plastic surgery she claims she didn't have, come on there are before and after pictures and you can tell everything that she had done. I thought she was beautiful the way she was but obviously she didn't, the photo shoot she did for complex was way too much, she can't get ready to do a teen magazine shoot that is suppose to have positive role models for little girls and do a shoot like the one in complex. She has to get it together, plus she was missing a lot of shows. There was a lot that the public didn't know, I think the group will be alright they just need to get it together.

If these girls had any sense they would have all walked out on Diddy!! Since day one he has shown no respect for them, he is nothing but a tyrant. I feel he should have at least given them a choice in the future of the group they worked so hard to create. Its unfortunate they don't believe in their own talent enough to have stood up to him and taken their talent to another company where they would be recognized and appreciated for their talent. However this doesn't come as such a surprise seeing as he has never done right by them.
