MIKE MILLS - R.E.M TO PLAY FIVE-NIGHT STINT IN DUBLIN

Rockers R.E.M will kickstart their first tour since 2005 by hosting a five-night residency at Dublin, Ireland's Olympia Theatre this summer (07). The group will use the five shows, which begin on 30 June (07), to test new songs for their upcoming 14th studio album. Bandmate MIKE MILLS says the band chose the Olympia, a historic music hall built in 1879, because of all the great shows they've seen there over the years. In a statement, he writes, "From the WATERBOYS to LOU REED. I am thrilled to play at this wonderful venue, and in front of some of the best fans in the world."
