FARRAH FAWCETT - REDMOND O'NEAL FACES JAIL ON FRESH DRUGS CHARGES

FARRAH FAWCETT and RYAN O'NEAL's son REDMOND has been arrested on drugs charges, just months after completing a spell in rehab. The 23-year-old's vehicle was pulled over by police in California at 3am on 26 January (08) after the cops spotted him driving erratically. A search of his car allegedly unearthed drug paraphernalia. A $10,000 (GBP5,000) bond was posted and Redmond was released, but he faces a custodial sentence because of previous drug charges stemming from an arrest three years ago. In 2005, troubled Redmond, who has checked into rehab facilities 12 times in 10 years, escaped a jail sentence after pleading guilty to possession of methamphetamine and cocaine. A source tells the National Enquirer, "Farrah has always dreaded getting that phone call: 'Your son's dead of an overdose.' She's done everything in her power to save him. Maybe jail is his only cure."

This situation is so sad and really messed up! It seems like Dejavue. Last year on her 60th birthday Farrah's cancer went into remission and right afterwards her man Ryan O'Neal was arrested, and now 1 year later right after her 61st birthday her cancer once again goes into remission and this time her son Redmond is arrested. WTF?! First of all I would like to congratulate Farrah on beating cancer once again, and applaud her for the tremendous fight she put up,and hopefully this time her cancer never comes back! Now,concerning her son Redmond,I've read several comments on other blogs concerning this story that I do not fully agree with. Some of these comments were that because Redmond grew up in a tumultuos household that's why he does drugs. Or he does drugs because it runs in his family,or it's in his genes,or because he was exposed to it at an early age,or because as a youngster his parents were too self-centered and they were not there for him,or because his mom is sick and doing drugs is his way of coping with her illness,so therefore him doing drugs is not his fault That's Bullsh-t!. The way I see it,whether or not the above comments are true or not is irrelevant. And his mom being sick should make him want to escape this lifestyle so that he can be their for her,but instead he's getting in deeper.. This kid is in serious trouble and needs help! No,not anymore rehab, but serious jailtime! He is on a self-destructive course, and has been for a long time. This kid has been in rehab 12 times and still their is no improvement in his behavior? Obviously he needs something stronger than rehab,JAIL! Not only is this kid breaking the law,but he is an endangerment to himself and others. The number 1 thing he needs is that he has to WANT to be saved. He has to WANT to stop doing drugs and driving under the influence. However he grew up or his mom being sick is irrelevant, their is no excuse for his behavior, this kid is a grown man,he knows right from wrong,he's doing drugs and driving under the influence because he WANTS to,not because he's sick and he can't stop,or not because of his upbringing, family,or background. Those things may or may not have initially caused his problem, but those things cannot be used as an excuse for him to deliberately pursue a course of ac tion that he KNOWS is wrong!Whoever keeps bailing this kid out needs to stop, and let him serve some serious jail time. Constantly bailing him out is doing him more harm than good. Obviously no parent wants their kid in jail, but in this case it is for his own good. This kid has too much money and too much time on his hands, that's why he is in the situation that he is in. In jail he would be away from the drugs and he could develope the desire to WANT to change,he could reflect on his life and future, and seriously think about what his course of action is doing to himself and those who love him. He needs to realize that if he continues doing what he's doing then he's gonna either wind up dead or spending the rest of his life in prison. He needs to think about the seriousness of his actions, because his course can lead to the death of himself,or some innocent person or persons on the road. And he needs to stop being so damn selfish and think about his poor mom and what all of this is doing to her. Hey Redmond,if you ever read this,yo son you really need to stop all of this Bullsh-t and grow the F-ck up,and stop thinking only of yourself and start thinking about your mom and how you are breaking her heart. Dont you love her? Hasn't she been through enough anguish and turmoil with this cancer? So why are you causing her more pain with all of this foolishness? You really need to start acting like a man and start being their for your mom, she's the one who brought you into this world and gave you life, and this is how you show your appreciation by throwing your life away on drugs? You really need to clean yourself up and get your life together before it is too late. You're a grown-ass man,no one can tell you what to do,and I'm not trying to,but I feel that you should think about others and the consequences of your actions. And to Ryan and Farrah,if anyone of you ever reads this I just wanna say don't ever give up on him, always be their for him,and you must show him tough love. If he has to go to jail, then so be it,and when he gets out you guys need to cut him off financially and make his ass get a job(if he doesn't already have one),and then maybe he wont spend his money on drugs. I hope that before it's too late that Redmond realizes that his course is self-destructive and that he soon developes the desire to WANT to change. If he does not WANT to be saved then all of the rehab, tough love, prayer, and jail time in the world is not going help him. You can't save a person who does not want to be saved,so he's gotta help himself before anyone else can help him,he's gotta WANT to be helped! So in closing I just wanna say once again to Redmond think about the consequences and seriousness of your actions, think about your life and future, think about your parents and other loved ones.Think about what it will do to your poor mom if she got that call that she is so dreading, that her only child is found dead somewhere because of an auto accident or because of a drug overdose. Think about what if you had to go to prison for the rest of your life because you killed someone while driving under the influence. These are the things that you really need to think about everyday, and not your damn next fix! On tha real, you need to get your sh-t together NOW son, before it is too late, before some irrepairable damage is done! Know what I mean?! Peace!
