DAVID ARQUETTE - RED-FACED ARQUETTE LOSES HIS FILM AT COMIC BOOK CONVENTION

Actor DAVID ARQUETTE was left red-faced at comic book convention Comic-Con in San Diego, California yesterday (21JUL06) after he lost the tape of his directorial debut there. The SCREAM star was at the four-day event to debut footage from his new film THE TRIPPER when he misplaced the tape. Before fans who had queued up to meet him and see the footage, the actor said, "I'm so embarrassed... It'll probably be on the Internet tonight." But the quirky star still managed to thrill fans by acting out scenes from the film, which he later described as "a political horror film about a person who's obsessed with RONALD REAGAN." Arquette's movie features actors PAUL REUBENS and JASON MEWES and his new brother-in-law THOMAS JANE. Arquette revealed his wife COURTENEY COX ARQUETTE makes a cameo in the movie.
